Pierce County auto repair business robbed after garage door pulled off

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — An auto repair business in Pierce County was robbed early Saturday morning after its garage door was pulled off, according to a Facebook post from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a call around 2:29 a.m. from a passerby, who had reported seeing a garage door torn off a building in the 3900 block of River Road East near Tacoma.

When deputies arrived, they found that one of the building’s roll-up garage doors had been heavily damaged.

After viewing surveillance footage, deputies saw a gray truck pulling into the parking lot and two people using a pry bar to enter the building.

According to the report, a customer’s SUV and some tools were taken.
