The Tacoma Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that occurred Wednesday evening near the Point Defiance dog park.
A woman walking her dog around 5 p.m. was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted by an unknown man in a parking lot near the park.
Authorities have not made an arrest and are urging residents to remain vigilant while walking in the area.
