BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — A teenager was arrested Sunday after doing “donuts” in an SUV at a Bonney Lake elementary school, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 8:50 p.m. on Feb. 13, deputies received a report of a reckless vehicle at an elementary school.
The deputy was told an SUV was doing “donuts” on the baseball field.
The deputy found the SUV as it sped by him, and he conducted a traffic stop.
Five people were in the SUV, and the deputy noticed the SUV’s license plates had been covered with COVID-19 masks.
The 18-year-old driver told the deputy he was the one doing the “donuts” on the baseball field.
The driver also said he was a student at the local high school.
The deputy issued the driver a ticket for his speed and obstructed license plates.
The case will be referred to the prosecutor’s officer for possible criminal charges.
