Two women and one man were killed in a shooting in Tacoma on Thursday night, according to the Tacoma police.
“Somebody is shooting somebody across the street so immediately all of us got down on the floor,” says Greg Riemersma who heard the gunshots.
He said the Thursday night shooting was the last thing they expected. The gunfire shaking him and his family. “I’ll cry after my grandkids go to bed,” he said. “I’m not going to break down in front of them”
Police say 2 women and a man were pronounced dead at the scene, another man was transported to the hospital where he later died.
“This is a horrific crime,” said Tacoma Public Information Officer, Wendy Haddow. “At this time I cannot say whether there was one or multiple shooters.”
Police haven’t released the victims ages or their relationship to one another, but say the shooting happened outside in an alley way between homes.
While officers work late into the night Thursday to piece together what happened, Riemersma hopes they can figure it out soon and make an arrest.
“They go out and do something like this, they need to pay the price,” Riemersma added.
Anyone with any information can call 911 or can remain anonymous and call 1-800-222-TIPS.
