Song, tears and prayers punctuated the vigil where hundreds of friends, classmates and loved ones gathered at Rogers High School to remember Diego Villegas.
Villegas brother, Donte shared his feelings at the vigil: "I love him, we all love him. Just love each other, be there for everyone. I love every single one of you guys. Thank you."
Puyallup police said the teens were coming from a party and Villegas was driving at least 50 mph over the speed limit in a 35-mph zone.
The car left the road and wrapped around a tree in the 1900 block of West Stewart.
All four teens were taken to local hospitals. Villegas was in critical condition and later died at the hospital.
The three who survived suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
KIRO 7 video from the scene showed an evidence marker next to an empty pint bottle of Barcardi rum a short distance from the car.
At least 300 people attended the vigil.
