TACOMA, Wash. — A woman was taken to the hospital after she was struck by gunfire in a drive-by shooting in Tacoma early Tuesday.
The shots were fired at Marine Park near Les Davis Pier in the 3400 block of Ruston Way on the Tacoma waterfront at about 3:20 a.m.
Tacoma police said someone in a car fired on a group of people gathered at the park and a 20-year-old woman was shot in the head.
She was driven to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
So far, there is no information about the suspects or car involved.
Some people say the park is a magnet for people looking to party. On Tuesday morning, beer and soda cans littered the area.
