FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A 17-year-old killed in a shooting at Steel Lake Park late Monday night has been identified.
The King County Medical Examiner identified the teen as Brice Armstrong.
Officers said they got several 911 calls reporting gunshots and yelling at the park Monday.
When they arrived at the scene after 10 p.m., they found two people who had been shot.
Despite medical aid, the teenager died at the scene.
The other victim, a 22-year-old man, was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, St. Francis Hospital called to report a third victim, a 12-year-old boy, had been driven to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
After 11 p.m., a fourth person — a 30-year-old man — contacted police to report he had also been shot.
Both of those victims have non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said all of the victims live in the Tacoma area.
Officers got enough information to detain a potential suspect, a 28-year-old Tacoma woman, who was later booked into the King County Jail.
The park was closed for the investigation.
