MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Marysville city officials are warning residents to expect traffic delays Thursday when a new Chick-fil-A opens on 88th Street Northeast.
The new location will open at 6:30 a.m. for drive-thru service only.
“Based on experience when Chick-fil-A opened in other communities, significant traffic impacts are likely for several days,” city officials said.

The heaviest traffic is expected to be between I-5 and State Avenue on 88th Street.
Officers with the city’s police department will be in the area to help direct traffic at peak times through Saturday. The chain is closed on Sundays.
City officials said the closure of State Avenue north of 100th Street Northeast due to construction could make traffic in the area even worse.
To help avoid traffic, here’s what officials recommend drivers do:
Use freeway exits at 4th Street (Exit 199) or 116th Street (Exit 202) and drive through town on 51st Avenue Northeast or 67th Avenue Northeast.
