ATLANTA — An Atlanta girl is gaining national attention over her love for gymnastics.
Prince Miller says his daughter, Nyla Miller, 6, has been so inspired after watching the Olympics that she told him she wanted to be like gold medalists Gabby Douglas and Simone Biles.
Miller posted pictures on his Twitter account that have since been retweeted more than 13,000 times and liked by 36,000 people -- because Biles herself retweeted Miller.
"A lot of social media handles reached out," Nyla's mother, Jessica Williams, said. "They were inspired that a child her age felt that that could one day be me."
Williams, who runs Atlanta Speech Pathology, starts every day with words of encouragement and positivity for her daughter.
"Since the tweet, Nyla’s confidence has gone through the roof," Williams said.
My daughter told me she wants to be like @gabrielledoug & @Simone_Biles
