Starbucks is hoping it's latest colorful creation will once again create a buzz on social media.
The new creation, known as the Crystal Ball Frappuccino, launched on Thursday and will only be on the menu until Monday the 26th, or as long as supplies last.
According to Starbucks, the drink starts with a "crème-based Frappuccino infused with peach flavor and turquoise sparkles that create an enchanting marbling effect."
The magic happens when the peach-flavored whipped cream is sprinkled with one of three colored candy gems, each color signifying a different fortune in vivid blue, green and purple. Only the fates can decide which color is revealed – the customer will not know which color of candy gem will top the beverage.
Starbucks says blue fortells adventure, green fortells luck and purple fortells magic.
Baristas who couldn’t wait to experiment before the drink launched posted their creations on social media.
Whether another social media whirlwind is in Starbucks’ future has yet to be revealed.
It's limited edition, pink-and-blue, cotton-candy-colored Unicorn Frappuccino, which changed colors with the twirl of a straw, was an instant hit on Instagram.
Teen Vogue said like the Unicorn Frap, Starbuck's latest creation was also optimized to make a stir on Instagram.
Starbucks hopes the new drink will be photographed by customers, posted on social media and spread around, according to the Associated Press.
