Long Beach, Calif. — If you've wondered what the ocean looks like through the eyes of a sea lion, the wait is over.
A volunteer named Hugh at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California mounted a GoPro camera to a selfie stick and handed the device over to Milo, one of their resident sea lions, UPI reported.
"Just for fun I made a selfie stick for the sea lions," Hugh wrote in a blog post on the aquarium's website. "Why? I just thought it would be neat to see a swimming sea lion from the same selfie stick perspective that surfers and other action sports athletes use to give a 'you are there' feel to their shots."
The 14-second clip shows Milo giving the camera a tour of his pool as he swims with the selfie stick in his mouth capturing every moment.
Hugh says he had to work with Milo for a while to get him to be able to hold the selfie stick in his mouth. The end result: breathtaking.
