LOUISVILLE, Ky. — At least one person was killed after a wrong-way driver barreled into seven other vehicles on a Kentucky interstate Sunday, authorities said.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, the wrong-way driver burst into flames after colliding with the other cars, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported.
Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said a pickup truck drove north on the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 near the Watterson Expressway exit before crashing into seven other vehicles around 2:30 p.m. EDT, the newspaper reported.

One driver died at the scene, and three other people, including the driver of the pickup truck, were taken to an area hospital with injuries that were considered not to be life-threatening, WLKY-TV reported.
None of the victims have been identified, according to the television station.
Mitchell said charges are expected, WDRB-TV reported.
