According to Netflix, “The Chosen One” is about a 12-year-old boy who learns he is the returned Jesus Christ, destined to save humankind. The series is based on the 2004 comic book series “American Jesus” by Mark Millar and Peter Gross, according to Screen Rant.
The series is being filmed by an unidentified independent production company, Deadline reported. Officials had no information on whether production will be affected by the accident.
“The Chosen One” series is different from a 2019 project of the same name on the Netflix platform, Screen Rant reported. The first one was a Portuguese program that followed three doctors who brought a Zika vaccine to a remote village, only to discover a cult, according to IMDb.com.
