COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Two people died when a small plane crashed in Coweta County near Senoia on Saturday afternoon, officials say.
The plane crashed on state Highway 16 westbound at Tinsley Way and is blocking all lanes, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
All lanes are blocked as crews investigate.
The Coweta County sheriff said the pilot had just bought the plane and was taking a friend on a ride.
Officials said the plane was a Mustang 2.
