SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. — Three men in western Nebraska were arrested in connection with a sex-trafficking investigation, authorities said.
Jeffrey B. Calder, 60, of Scottsbluff, James “Jimbo” Gutierrez, 65, of Gering, and Justin Kumm, 39, of Scottsbluff, were arrested Friday, according to the Scotts Bluff County Attorney’s Office.
Calder was arrested on one count of sex trafficking, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and two counts of possession of a short shotgun, the Star-Herald of Scottsbluff reported. According to the newspaper, Gutierrez was arrested on charges of two counts of sex trafficking and one count of second-degree sexual assault, while Kumm was arrested on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman released few details, and would only confirm that three people had been arrested and four search warrants had been executed, the Star-Herald reported.
Calder’s business, Calder’s Auto Center, was searched Friday morning, the newspaper reported.
Officers and investigators with the Scottsbluff Police Department, Gering Police Department, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Department and the Nebraska State Patrol were observed searching the dealership, the Star-Herald reported.
According to a news release from the Scotts Bluff County Attorney’s Office, authorities seized firearms, suspected methamphetamine, cellular telephones and other electronic storage devices.
An investigation is ongoing, the Star-Herald reported.
