PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — Three people were injured Saturday when a “themed decoration” at Dollywood fell, striking the theme park guests.
A Dollywood spokesperson said the decoration fell around 2 p.m. in the Wilderness Pass area of the park, WATE reported. The guests were walking beneath the decoration when it fell, the television station reported.
“The patients were evaluated and stabilized by first responders and paramedics from the Dollywood Safety Department at the scene,” Pete Owens, a Dollywood spokesperson, told WVLT. “They were transported to the hospital via ambulance in stable condition. Our prayers are with the patients and their families during this trying time.”
