4 arrested in Arizona after $3.9M worth of meth found in car

KINGMAN, Ariz. — Four people are accused of transporting $3.9 million worth of methamphetamine in a car that was pulled over in Arizona on Thursday, authorities said.

The four people were arrested in Mohave County on Interstate 40 by Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement (MAGNET) officers, The Miner of Kingman reported.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, nearly 90 pounds of meth were confiscated following a traffic stop around 5:30 p.m., KTNV reported. During the stop, an Arizona Department of Public Safety K-9 was used to search the vehicle, KNXV reported.

The MAGNET officers said they recovered 89 pounds of meth, which officials said had a street value of $3.9 million.

Authorities arrested German Alvarado, 22; Abril Arreguin, 28; Marion Torres, 24; and Moises Moralez-Marquez, 30, The Miner reported. All four were arrested on suspicion of transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, and possession of dangerous drugs for sale, the sheriff’s office said.
