BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Five people have been arrested in connection with a shooting Friday evening at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Five people have been arrested after a man was killed in a shooting at the Mall of America, according to The Associated Press.
In a news conference Saturday evening, Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges announced the arrests and all five would be facing murder charges, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that on Friday night inside a Nordstrom department store at the Mall of America, a 19-year-old man was shot and killed. The shooting prompted a lockdown.
Bloomington Police Department said that the shooting happened as a result of a disagreement between two groups made up of young men and juveniles, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Two 18-year-old men and three 17-year-old juvenile boys were arrested in connection to the shooting, Hodges said, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Hodges also reportedly said that one of the 18-year-olds is believed to be the shooter and that another one of the five arrested may have also fired a weapon.
Hodges reportedly said that the five were arrested and taken into custody Saturday morning at a house in St. Louis, Minnesota, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
A sixth suspect is still being sought, according to the AP.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in a tweet Saturday said that the shooting last night at the Mall of America was “absolutely unacceptable.”
Police have not yet identified the victim’s name, according to the AP.
The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
