HOWARD COUNTY, Md. — Crews in Maryland rescued a 5-year-old child who became stuck Tuesday in a large gun safe, according to officials with Howard County Fire and Rescue Services.
Authorities said they responded around 12:10 p.m. to a report of a child locked in a safe.
Crews monitored the air inside the safe while extracting the child. Officials were able to cut part of the safe’s rear wall to free the 5-year-old.
Officials said the child was evaluated and released to his or her parents “in good spirits.”
