According to the San Francisco Chronicle, private security video posted on social media Friday showed the two women outside the entrance to a Castro Valley building on Thursday. The older woman said something to the younger woman, who wore a vest with the Amazon logo, before the altercation turned physical.

The unidentified victim reported the incident to 911, claiming the Amazon driver punched her in the head and face at least 10 times, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office told KPIX.

Per the video, the victim entered the building following the altercation, and the Amazon driver followed with two carts of packages.

Sheriff’s deputies told the Chronicle that Ramirez admitted to assaulting the woman out of self-defense after the victim used an expletive to describe her.

Ramirez was booked into the Santa Rita Jail on Friday, and her bail was set at $100,000, KPIX reported.

A spokesperson for Amazon told the Chronicle that Ramirez will no longer deliver packages for the company, noting the behavior “does not reflect the high standards we have for drivers who deliver our packages.”
