Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend announced that his wife, Chrissy Teigen, gave birth earlier in the day, according to a report.
People reported that Teigen gave birth early Friday and that Legend made the announcement during a private performance that night.
“What a blessed day,” Legend, 43, told the audience.

Legend added that while he was tired, he felt energized after spending time at the hospital to be there for the birth. He did not reveal the gender of the child.

TMZ also reported about the couple’s new arrival.
“Today” has reached out to representatives for Teigen and Legend for confirmation.
Teigen, 37, announced her pregnancy in August in an Instagram post. The model added that she had undergone in vitro fertilization, according to People.
The new birth comes after the couple experienced the pregnancy loss in October 2020 of a boy they had named Jack, People reported. The couple is already parents to son Miles Theodore, 4½, and daughter, Luna Simone, 6½.
