According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, Noah Jordan’s body was found about a mile north of where he was last seen and believed to have entered the water at around 11 a.m. local time Sunday, WXMI reported.

“It’s always hard with kids, especially. You work extra hard,” Sgt. Eric Brunner with the Kent County Sheriff’s Office told MLive.com.

Indeed, police not only went door-to-door searching for the boy, but employed aerial drones, boats and canine units in their search, WXMI reported.

Michigan State Police troopers, Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters from multiple agencies, including Cutlerville and Georgetown Township, took part in the rescue and recovery effort, MLive.com reported.
