Bowen Turner, 19, received two additional charges on Thursday for threatening the life of an officer and the purchase or possession of alcohol as a minor, according to court documents that WCSC obtained.

In a report that FITSNews received from the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office, Turner was seenstaggering in the middle of the street in Orangeburg on Mother’s Day evening, smelling of alcohol. He was allegedly not truthful with law enforcement at the time and “threatened to bite off the finger of a deputy.”

Turner was arrested on Monday, WCSC says, for the disorderly conduct and violating his probation. FITSNews says Turner was just sentenced to that probation four weeks ago.

Turner was originally facing three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct for crimes in 2018 and 2019 but he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge. As he waited for trial during that time, he violated his parole numerous times. When he went on trial in which he pleaded guilty to assault and battery in one of the cases, he was sentenced to five years probation. The other two cases, WCSC says, were dropped.

FITSNews says if Turner is convicted of the new charges, he could possibly face ten years in jail.
