The clucking bunny has gotten the boot. There’s a new animal in town hawking Cadbury Creme Eggs this year.
For the third year in a row, the Cadbury Bunny has been replaced by another animal, the “Today” show reported.
Meet Betty, an Australian White’s tree frog.
Betty is in the record books, for being the first ear-wearing amphibian, the smallest winner and the first female to help sell the limited-availability candy.
Betty currently hops around her Orlando, Florida-area home, and this is her first Easter, Cadbury’s parent company, Hershey’s said in a news release.
Her family gets a $5,000 grand prize, and she’ll be featured in the 2021 Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial.
Cadbury is also donating $15,000 to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Betty’s honor.
Betty beat out a donkey, miniature horse and a goat for the title this year, the company said in a news release.
