The widow of “Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman has filed for to be the administrator over her late husband’s estate.

Simone Ledward filed an official case, called a probate petition, Thursday with the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The filing comes nearly two months after the actor died of complications from colon cancer.

The petition would give Ledward, who was married to Boseman for less than a year, limited authority over Boseman’s $939,000 estate.

The 43-year-old did not file a will before his Aug. 28 death.

Ledward and Boseman’s parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, were by his side when he died, according to a statement released by the family.

Boseman had no children.

While Boseman and Ledward maintained a private relationship, the “Get On Up” actor thanked his partner during an acceptance speech at the 2019 NAACP Image Awards.

“Simone, you’re with me every day. I have to acknowledge you right now," he said at the time. “Love you.”

In a detailed tribute to the late actor, “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler acknowledged that he didn’t know Boseman had been sick and only realized after the family released a statement that Boseman had worked through his illness the entire time the two men knew each other.

He began his message by saying, “Before sharing my thoughts on the passing of the great Chadwick Boseman, I first offer my condolences to his family who meant so very much to him. To his wife, Simone, especially.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, California law states that when a person dies without a will, the spouse inherits all community property and is to split the individual’s separate property with the deceased surviving parents.

Boseman was laid to rest in September near his hometown of Anderson, South Carolina.
