LOS ANGELES — In a report released Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office confirmed that Tytyana Miller, daughter of legendary rapper and entertainment mogul Master P, died of an accidental drug overdose.
As per the coroner’s report, Miller died from fentanyl intoxication on May 27 at the age of 25, Entertainment Tonight reported.
According to the report, Miller died at a private residence, People reported.
The former actress was one of Master P’s nine children, eight of whom he shares with ex-wife Sonya C, including Romeo, 32; Itali, 23; Inty, 29; Vercy, 30; Hercy, 20; and 16-year-old Mercy. His ninth child is 25-year-old daughter, Cymphonique, from a previous relationship, ET reported.
Master P, born Percy Robert Miller Sr., first shared news of his daughter’s death via Instagram on May 29.
“Our family is dealing with an overwhelming grief for the loss of my daughter Tytyana,” he wrote, adding, “Mental illness & substance abuse is a real issue that we can’t be afraid to talk about. With God, we will get through this. #MyAngel.”
According to ET, Tytyana had been battling addiction for nearly a decade and shared her struggles while starring on “Growing Up Hip Hop” with her father and brother, Romeo Miller, the rapper previously known as Lil’ Romeo.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, fentanyl and other synthetic opioids now account for the lion’s share of all drug overdose deaths with synthetic opioid overdoses spiking 56% between 2019 and 2020, People reported.
