GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — A couple believed to have robbed an 81-year-old woman at knife point were arrested Friday after throwing saws and a gas tank from a vehicle while fleeing police.
Greeneville police tried to pull over a car identified in an armed robbery and several other crimes when the driver took off, WJHL reported.

During the pursuit Matthew McNutt, a passenger in the vehicle, started throwing items including a gas tank, a table saw and two other saws out of the window, investigators said.
The driver, Chelsea Cutshaw, swerved to the right, then overcorrected and veered to the left where she rant over several rail road ties and crashed into a house.
As officers approached the wrecked vehicle, McNutt and Cutshaw ran from it and into the back wall of the house, WJHL reported. Mcnutt was taken to a hospital for evaluation then transported to the jail.
McNutt was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and evading arrest.
Cutshaw was arrested and charged with evading arrest and reckless driving.
