SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. — A father drowned Sunday while attempting to save his two children who were swept into the surf off a Sonoma County beach.
The 6-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy remain missing and are presumed dead, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office told KRON.
The 40-year-old father, who has not been publicly identified, reportedly jumped into the water off Blind Beach after large waves swept his children into the water, the TV station reported.
