SANTA ANA, Calif. — Firefighters in the Los Angeles area had an interesting rescue Tuesday.
Orange County firefighters responded to the call of a naked woman who was wedged between two buildings in Santa Ana, KTLA reported.
Officials are not sure how she got there and why she had no clothing.
Police were called Tuesday afternoon after workers at an auto repair shop heard a woman cry for help, but they were not sure where the sounds were coming from.
It took about 20 to 30 minutes to find her, as the noise from the shop made it difficult for the authorities to pinpoint her cries, KCBS reported.
The woman, who was not identified, was in a spot that was only about eight inches wide, firefighters told KTLA.
“She’s wedged in there and we can’t physically get in there and she can’t crawl out,” Capt. Thanh Nguyen told KCBS before the rescue.
A couple of hours later, firefighters were able to get her out, but not before having to cut a concrete wall, KTLA reported.
After a cautious and technical operation, firefighters have gotten the victim out. Our paramedics will be assessing her now.
