Exhausted, a group of firefighters collapsed on the ground and broke out in song.
A crew of 20 firefighters started singing their own rendition of the popular ballad “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” after a 14-hour day battling the Lionshead Fire in Oregon, ABC News reported.
“Take me out to the fire, take me out to the line, bring me some sawyers and hazel hoes, I don’t care if I ever get home,” they sang, using firefighting terms in place of the traditional lyrics. “Root, root, root for the red crew. You know we want the most days. For it’s 1, 2, 3 tool types out at the old fire line.”
Theodore Hiner, the fire crew’s boss, recorded the performance and shared it on social media.
Exhausted but still excellent. Busted their butts today. And still make me laugh. My crew. My guys.

“They said, ‘Hey boss, we want you to hear something,’ and I said, ‘Oh, this is too good,'”Hiner told ABC News. “I was like, ‘Alright, do it one more time boys, because this is the most fun thing I’ve heard in a minute.’”
The crew has worked together for the last 60 days, ABC News reported. Hiner has not missed a season fighting the fires since 1996, CNN reported. While the crew has been battling the wildfire, Hiner’s family has been forced to evacuate their home for four days.
The fire is 10% contained, according to fire officials.
