LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida woman managed to slip out of a pair of handcuffs four times Thursday after she was arrested for driving under the influence, investigators said.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Jimena Gonzalez Ramirez, 19, crashed into another vehicle around 1:24 a.m., WBBH reported.
Ramirez was mumbling and struggling to stand when she got out of her car, investigators said. She was taken to a hospital then released to the Lee County Jail. It was at that time while she was in custody that she slipped from the cuffs.
She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and two counts of property damage, according to arrest records.
