PENN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Authorities on Wednesday arrested former NFL wide receiver Terrelle Pryor on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief, according to WPXI.
Court records obtained by the news station show Pryor is accused of assaulting a woman after the two went out drinking together. At some point, the victim said she and Pryor split up, with him staying at a house on Augusta Lane while she continued on to another bar. She said that while she was out, she ignored more than 50 phone calls and 30 texts from the former football player.
The incident began later in the night, after the victim returned to the house. In a criminal complaint, she said Pryor shoved her and slapped her in the face and head on the home’s back porch, WPXI reported. The victim said she ran from Pryor, who picked up a deck chair and threw it at her.
The victim told authorities that she got into a car to drive away but Pryor began throwing pumpkins at it. She suffered an injury to her left eye, according to WPXI.
Authorities said Pryor denied striking the victim, but he admitted to throwing the pumpkins, WPXI reported.
Pryor is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 19 for a preliminary hearing, according to the news station.
