ARLINGTON, Va. — Gerber has selected Isa from Oklahoma as the company’s Chief Growing Officer and Spokesbaby for 2022.
As the winner of the 12th annual Gerber Baby photo contest, Gerber is hoping their selection, Isa, will not only serve as a face for babies in 2022 but will also inspire adults and babies. The Today Show says Isa was born missing part of her right leg. In a press release from Gerber, they shared her story from her mom, Meredith, who says they knew from early on that Isa was going to be a special baby.
“Isa is a strong, amazing little girl that loves to interact with the world around her and nothing will stop her. Her smile lights up the room and her laughter is irresistible,” said Meredith Slish, Isa’s mother. “Before she was born in September of 2021, we knew Isa was special, and she has shown us that every day since she came into our lives. We found out when I was 18 weeks pregnant that Isa would be born without a femur or a fibula in her right leg. We hope Isa’s story can bring more awareness for limb differences and create greater inclusion for children like her. Because, just like Isa, they too can be or do anything they want!”
Isa loves to babble, has a favorite hippo toy, loves listening to soundtracks and is a happy baby. Gerber’s President and CEO, Tarun Malkani, says Isa’s submission captured them.
“Isa’s submission brought smiles to all of our faces, and she truly embodies the idea that every baby is a Gerber baby. We could not be more excited to work with Isa and her family throughout this next year to find moments of joy for every Gerber baby.”
She will also get to taste and review new baby food products and help the Gerber executive with future plans based on her likes and dislikes. Gerber says the most important part of her new job responsibility is “inspire joy, sharing happiness with a big smile, giggles, her loveable personality.”
Isa will be featured on Gerber’s social media platforms and, along with her family, will be awarded prizes, including a $25,000 cash prize, free Gerber products for up to a year, a CGO wardrobe that can be valued at $1,000, and more. To learn more about Isa or to follow her journey, click here.
