MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — It was a wild time for deputies in Arizona who tried to take a goat blamed for property damage into custody.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office shared photos of Billy the goat on Twitter, saying that the goat was captured after he “terrorized some residents” for a few hours.
Meet Billy, he's a goat. A few days ago, Billy terrorized some residents in Tonopah for a few hours, damaging their garage door, an electrical cord and chasing one of the residents around a car. Deputies from District 2 were able to take Billy into custody, pic.twitter.com/ma77NBrKaO

Billy was accused of damaging a garage door and an electrical cord, as well as chasing someone around a car, KTVK reported.
Deputies said that they were able to get the animal into custody, but that he then assaulted one of the deputies. In a tweet, deputies said they used “special handcuffs” and restrained Billy until Livestock Control could pick him up.
Billy was charged with trespassing, assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct, deputies said. KTVK said the goat was having trouble retaining counsel, because “He’s just always butting heads.”
