‘Harry Potter’ star Daniel Radcliffe and partner Erin Darke welcome first child

The boy who lived is now the man with a baby. Daniel Radcliffe, whose fans watched him grow up as the star of eight blockbuster Harry Potter movies, greeted his first child with his longtime girlfriend Erin Darke, his agent announced on Monday, Entertainment Tonight reported.

The couple announced last month that they were expecting their first child together.

Shortly before the official announcement, the Daily Mail ran a photo of Radcliffe, 33, pushing a baby stroller in New York. Darke, 38, walked alongside while the baby was covered head-to-toe in a blanket and obscured by the stroller’s hood.

Radcliffe and Darke met in 2013 while working together on the set of “Kill Your Darlings,” in which he starred as famous Beat poet Allen Ginsberg.

Radcliffe was typically cheeky when announcing their relationship, saying that it would be funny when they had to explain how they met and what they did in the film.

After a sweet courtship, the film’s characters appeared in an intimate scene.

The couple has kept a low profile throughout their relationship — their last red-carpet appearance was at the 2014 Tonys, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Radcliffe was only 12 when he took the title role in the first Potter film, “The Philosopher’s Stone,” in 2001.
