LAS VEGAS — It’s not too early for college students to start thinking about summer internships. And a Las Vegas casino has an attractive offer for students who want to work in the hospitality industry.
That’s right. Free housing, free meals and $7,200 over a 12-week period.
Stations Casinos is offering a development program to “college students who have demonstrated interest and aptitude in the hospitality industry,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
Interns will stay at no charge at Red Rock Casino, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station or Palace Station, the newspaper reported.
They also will receive a $1,200 paycheck every other week, KTNV reported.
Interns will receive hands-on experience and day-to-day operational learning in casino departments such as marketing, social media, public relations, hotel operations, human resources, casino operations, culinary, food and beverage, and finance, according to KTNV.
The program culminates in a weekly “Think Tank” project, where interns work with Station Casinos leaders to create strategic plans for the future, the television station reported.
“Put together research papers and full presentations to be delivered at the end of the summer to an executive committee,” Station Casinos announcement states.
The program is open to applicants who are 21 and older, the Review-Journal reported.
