Flavin filed for divorce in Palm Beach County court on Friday, People magazine reported.
In the filing, Flavin said her soon-to-be former husband had been moving assets from marital funds, TMZ reported.
TMZ published excerpts from the document that said, “Upon information and belief, the Husband has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate. Pursuant to Section 61.075, Florida Statues, equity dictates that the Wife be compensated and made whole by receiving an unequal distribution of the marital assets in her favor. Moreover, the Husband should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings.”
She has asked for exclusive domain over their Palm Beach home as the divorce goes through the courts. Flavin has also asked the court to reinstate her legal name as Flavin once the divorce is finalized.
Stallone and Flavin started dating in 1988 and got married in 1997, People magazine reported. They had recently celebrated their 25th anniversary earlier this year.
They have three daughters together — Sophia, 25; Sistine, 24; and Scarlet, 20.
Stallone also has a son — Seargeoh — with former wife Sasha Czack. His oldest son, Sage, whom he had with Starlin Wright, died in 2012, People magazine reported.
Stallone told People magazine in a statement, “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
There had been rumors about their breakup after Stallone had a tattoo of Flavin’s image covered up with a portrait of his dog and “Rocky” animal co-star Butkus, Entertainment Tonight reported.
When asked earlier this week by the Daily Mail, Stallone’s representative said in a statement, “Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer however the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable.”
Flavin also had posted to Instagram a photo of her and their daughters without Stallone with the caption, “The 4 of us forever,” the Daily Mail reported.
