KING COUNTY, Wash. — A judge has signed a warrant for the arrest of actor and former Disney Channel star Kyle Massey after he did not show up for his arraignment in Washington state.
Massey had been charged with one count of immoral communication with a minor, Variety reported in late June, citing court documents filed June 14.
According to court records, a King County judge signed a $100,000 warrant for Massey after he failed to appear for his arraignment scheduled on Monday morning.
Massey, known for his role as Cory Baxter on Disney shows “That’s So Raven” and “Cory in the House,” is accused of sending pornographic material to a 13-year-old girl, according to TMZ.
The felony charge stems from a 2019 lawsuit in which Massey was accused of sending explicit photos, texts and videos to the girl, whom he had known since she was 4 years old.
The suit seeks at least $1.5 million and alleged intentional infliction of emotional distress, harmful matter sent with intention of seducing a minor, attempting to commit a lewd act with a minor and annoying or molesting a minor, the outlet reported.
According to TMZ, the explicit content was sent to the girl in December 2018 and January 2019.
