ATLANTA — A man wanted for shooting a Florida police officer in the head was captured early Saturday morning in Atlanta after nearly four days of searching, investigators said.
Daytona Beach police said Othal Wallace was hiding in a tree house in a wooded area of Dekalb County, WFTV reported.
He was found with multiple weapons, ammunition and body armor. Authorities had been searching for Wallace since Wednesday after he shot Daytona Beach police officer Jason Raynor, WFTV reported.
“You guys know who I am, you know what I am capable of and it could have been a lot worse,” Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young said at a news conference.
