Gilford, New Hampshire Police Chief Anthony J. Bean Burpee said the agreement was reached between the prosecutor and the singer, whose given name is Brian Hugh Warner, WFXT reported.

“Our in-house prosecutor has reached an agreement with Mr. Warner’s attorneys for him to turn himself in on the warrant in Los Angeles,” Burpee said in a statement. “Our prosecutor has also spoken with a detective at the Los Angeles Police Department in order to walk him through the process of what needs to take place regarding the processing of paperwork once Mr. Warner turns himself in.”

The warrant, which the department made public on May 25, charges Warner with two Class A misdemeanor counts of simple assault, the Bangor Daily News reported. The charges stem from an Aug. 18, 2019, incident at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford where Manson had performed.

The arrest warrant was first issued on Oct. 8, 2019, according to WFXT.

According to a Facebook post by the Gilford Police Department on May 25, the warrant was issued after an alleged incident at the amphitheater. The incident centered around a videographer who was filming the singer in the stage pit area of the arena.

“Mr. Warner, his agent and legal counsel have been aware of the warrant for some time and no effort has been made by him to return to New Hampshire to answer the pending charges,” the post stated.

Howard King, Warner’s attorney, told Pitchfork last month that “It is no secret to anyone who has attended a Marilyn Manson concert that he likes to be provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera.”

“This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm,” King said in a statement. “After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply. This whole claim is ludicrous, but we remain committed to cooperating with authorities, as we have done throughout.”

Police said the videographer, was contracted to film the concert when she was assaulted, the Daily News reported. Police said the assault was not sexual in nature, the newspaper reported. The videographer reported the incident the day after the concert, Variety reported.

Burpee said that if Warner surrenders within the next few weeks, his initial court appearance in New Hampshire would probably be held in mid-August, the Daily News reported. Warner faces a maximum jail sentence of one year and a fine of up to $2,000, the Los Angeles Times reported.
