Zane Kahin was announced Monday as the new face of Gerber, beating out more than 90,000 entries, the “Today” show reported.

This is the 11th year that the search has been conducted, the company said when it started the contest earlier this year.

Babies had to be “between 0 and 48 months old, have an infectious giggle and shining personality, as well as the ability to melt hearts with cuteness — no corporate experience required,” Gerber said when announcing the contest.

Zane’s parents, Michael and Erin Kahin, who live in Winter Park, Florida, knew they were a finalist but didn’t know their son was chosen as the winner until it was announced on the “Today” show.

The family had hoped to have children, but Erin had breast cancer when she was 27, so they were not sure if she could conceive.

Erin Kahin underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation that could have prevented her from having children, she told “Today.”

The couple got married and tried to start a family, understanding that they would probably need fertility treatments to conceive, but Zane came along with no medical help.

Mike and Erin joked that all parents find their children cute, so they entered Zane on a whim to see if they were right that their baby was adorable.

In addition to being the face of the iconic baby brand, the family gets $25,000 cash, free Gerber products for a year and a $1,000 wardrobe from Gerber Childrenswear, “Today” reported. The company is also designing a bodysuit and T-shirt inspired by Zane, with Gerber Childrenswear donating products to Delivering Good, to help “people impacted by poverty and tragedy with new merchandise.”

Zane also has a big job to do.

He’s the company’s official “Chief Taste Tester” for new baby foods and is the company’s “Chief Growing Officer,” “Today” reported.

The CGO is an honorary role on Gerber’s Executive Committee, the company said in a news release.
