Wallen, 29, took a tumble onstage during a concert Thursday at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, tripping as he attempted to navigate a cloud of smoke, Entertainment Weekly reported.
In videos posted to social media, Wallen was singing “Heartless,” his collaboration with Diplo, when the fog onstage clouded his view, according to People. Wallen disappeared into the smoke but immediately bounced back up, never missing a beat as he continued to sing, the magazine reported.
Wallen’s fall and cringe-face reaction were captured on video and earned him a new nickname from Taste of Country -- Morgan Fallen.
Aside from holding his leg for a moment, the East Tennessee native seemed unfazed by his spill, WATE-TV reported.
“I was about to be legless after that song!” Wallen told the crowd, according to the television station.
A TikTok video by @wadepoor shows a clear angle of Wallen’s face after the fall.
According to Setlist.fm, “Heartless” was the first song performed by Wallen during a three-song encore.
Wallen was touring in support of his third studio album, “One Thing at a Time,” which was released in March, People reported. His 36-song effort includes hits like “Last Night” and “Thinkin’ Bout Me.”
Louisville was the second stop of his U.S. tour, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The album has been atop the Billboard 200 albums chart for six weeks. The last album by a male act to sit at No. 1 during its first four weeks on the chart was Wallen’s 2021 effort, “Dangerous,” which spent 10 weeks atop the charts, Billboard reported.
“Last Night” is currently the No. 1 song on Billboard’s Hot 100.
Wallen kept his sense of humor despite the brief indignity.
“Next time, don’t put so much smoke on the stage,” he said, according to WATE.
