The Italian actress dubbed the “most beautiful woman in the world” has died.
Gina Lollobrigida was 95 years old.

Read More Italian news agency Lapresse was the first to report Lollobrigida’s death, The Associated Press reported.
Her death was announced by Tuscany Gov. Eugenio Giani, where Lollobrigida was named an honorary citizen.
Her former lawyer confirmed her death at a Rome clinic, Reuters reported. He did not provide a cause of death, Sky News reported.
Lollobrigida was known for such films as “Crossed Swords,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and “Beautiful but Dangerous,” according to her IMDB page.
The actress was nominated for one BAFTA Award and had 33 international award wins and seven other nominations over her career. She received a star on the Walk of Fame in 2018, according to IMDB .
‘La Lollo,” as she was known, shared the silver screen with icons such as Humphry Bogart, Frank Sinatra, Rock Hudson and Errol Flynn.
Bogart said that Lollobrigida “made Marilyn Monroe look like Shirley Temple.”
She was also linked to Howard Hughes who asked her repeatedly to marry him. She also had a feud with fellow Italian actress Sophia Loren, BBC News reported.
Lollobrigida transitioned into photography and politics after she left her film career, BBC News reported.
The former actress ran for, and lost, a seat in the Italian parliament for a leftist political party last year, Reuters reported.
