“The Kissing Booth” is returning for a third season next year, Netflix announced Sunday.

The announcement by the streaming service comes a few days after “The Kissing Booth 2″ debuted, Variety reported.

Netflix officials said the third season of the teen romantic comedy was secretly shot at the same time as the sequel, so filming is done and there should be no delays, Variety reported.

During a live YouTube event, cast members for “The Kissing Booth 3″ said they completed filming before the coronavirus became a pandemic.

“We filmed two and three at the exact same time,” cast member Joel Courtney said.

“It was the hardest secret to keep ever,” Joey King said. King, who plays Elle in the series, said filming was tricky at times because “in one day we’d be filming both,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Courtney and King will join Jacob Elordi, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Meganne Young and Molly Ringwald in the series’ third season, Variety reported.

The original series was based on Beth Reekles’ self-published novel, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The debut series became Netflix’s most rewatched movie in 2018, the website reported.

Vince Marcello returns to direct “The Kissing Booth 3,” which he wrote with Jay Arnold, Variety reported.
