NEW YORK — A dog named Tinkerbell was plucked Wednesday morning from frigid Jamaica Bay.
The New York Police Department Harbor Team was patrolling around 10 a.m. when they saw the freezing dog, pulled her from the water and wrapped her in warm blankets, WABC reported.
The dog was taken to a veterinarian and later reunited with her owner.
“After failing her physical for the SCUBA Team, Tinkerbell has been reunited with her owner Jason,” NYPD said on social media. “Tinkerbell is in great health and is looking forward to sleeping all day.”
