Offbeat TikTok food critic, content creator Wafffler69 dead at 33

Taylor Brice LeJeune, an offbeat food critic known to fans on social media as Wafffler69, died Wednesday after suffering an apparent heart attack, his brother said. He was 33.

LeJeune’s brother, known on social media as Claydorm, confirmed the death in a TikTok post. Claydorm said that LeJeune, who lived in Louisiana, was “rushed to a hospital” but died a short time later, E! Online reported.

LeJeune became known for his videos where he prepared, tested, and tried out offbeat food items, “Today” reported. Some of the items he tested had expiration dates that had passed, according to the news outlet.

LeJeune had nearly 2 million followers on TikTok, who watched videos of the content creator testing various food items ranging from octopus spaghetti to spicy coffee, E! Online reported.

Other videos showed LeJeune tasting canned beef tripe and fried grasshoppers.

In his last TikTok video, which he this week, LeJeune is shown eating a Fruit Loop dipped in a bowl of milk after one of his followers suggested it.

LeJeune released his own “Wafffler’s Creole Rice and All-Purpose Seasoning” and started selling merchandise on Etsy, NBC News reported.

“My brother was usually always alone, and he made it on TikTok by himself and was surrounded by people who truly mourn for his loss,” Claydorm told NBC News.
