AKRON, Ohio — Five people, including three children, are dead after a fire destroyed a house in Ohio, authorities said.

According to WJW and WEWS, the incident occurred about 1 a.m. Monday at a home on Linden Avenue in Akron. Emergency crews arrived to find family members and neighbors attempting to rescue people from the burning home, WJW reported.
Two adults and three children died in the fire, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office. Four other people are being treated at area hospitals, authorities told WJW. Further details about their conditions were not immediately available.
The Akron Fire Department continues to investigate the blaze, the news outlets reported.
