If you had a holiday wish to see Snoopy and the Peanuts gang without having to download yet another streaming service, let’s just say Christmastime is here and your wishes have come true.
Apple TV+ and PBS announced a deal that will allow fans of the annual holiday specials featuring Charlie Brown and his friends without having Apple TV+.
“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas," along with “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” were once a staple of CBS and ABC, but days before Halloween, Apple TV+ had the terrifying announcement for some that all three holiday shows would no longer be shown on traditional broadcast channels. Rather they were moving to Apple’s subscription platform Apple TV+. They were free for a limited time to nonsubscribers. Otherwise, you’d have to pay to watch the classic programs.
But now “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be shown on PBS and PBS Kids, according to a news release from PBS.
