SCOTT, La. — These pigs were living high on the hog, at least for a short period of time.
A pack of pigs had to be corralled in the city of Scott after escaping from their transport truck on Wednesday, KLFY-TV reported.
According to police, about nine pigs got loose behind the Super One grocery store, the television station reported.
Scott police Chief Chad Leger said the driver stopped after his truck began experiencing mechanical issues. When the driver opened a gate on the truck to check on the pigs, they all escaped, KFLY reported.
Leger said the pigs roamed in the back parking lot of the grocery store before they were finally guided back into the truck, according to the television station.
There were no injuries.
