PHOENIX — Police have identified a woman’s body that was found in a suitcase Saturday.
The human remains were found in a suitcase in an area popular with hikers, KNXV reported.
The woman who found the suitcase had been riding her bike on a trail and posted on the Nextdoor app that she had seen something disturbing, KTVK reported. When there was more light out, she went back and confirmed what she had found.
The woman told police that she saw what appeared to be a head covered in what looked like blood, sticking out of a large suitcase, KSAZ reported.
The victim was identified as Jennifer Beede, 39, The Arizona Republic reported.
Phoenix police have not offered any further information about Beede or what may have led to her death. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department.
